THE BEREAVED Seeks New Label Home
July 16, 2006Swedish death/thrash metallers THE BEREAVED are currently seeking a new label home following the recent announcement that the band's previous label, Greece's Black Lotus Records, was closing its doors. "We are now looking for new collaborators, and interested parties can send their offers directly to us!" the band writes on its web site. "What we need is financial support and distribution to release the next album (and perhaps more releases)."
THE BEREAVED recently finished recording their as-yet-untitled second album at Studio Underground and will soon mix and master the CD with Dan Swanö (NIGHTINGALE, EDGE OF SANITY, BLOODBATH). Dan will also sing the clean vocals on the album, which features additional "guest screams" by Matt Sheppard (SINATE, ex-8 FOOT SATIVA). The follow-up to 2004's "Darkened Silhouette" contains "11 tracks of pure swedish melodeathrash mayhem," according to a press release.
